Temporary signs Calgary are signs that are used to advertise on both private and public lands in the city of Calgary.  Calgary’s land us bylaw currently allows for a number of different signs that are not permanent structures to be used for advertising purposes.  Some of these signs require permits and others do not and this mainly based upon the size of the sign and where it is placed on the property.  All signs that are 16sqft or smaller are exempt from require a permit assuming the signs meet minimum separation distances and distances from other signs and structures.  Signs that are larger than 16 sqft require a permit/marker that is made a complicated and restrictive and expensive process as an attempt to reduce or eliminate this type of signage.  Yet a real estate sign of the same sizes are exempt from the requirement of a permit/market and this is discrimination as far as I am concerned as both signs are used as a form of advertising and the rules are not the same for both parties.
