Mobile Signs in St. John’s

Mobile Sign” means a sign intended for temporary use which is not permanently affixed to a structure or to the ground and includes a frame designed to advertise a product or service or relay a message or illustration regardless of whether such advertising, message, or illustration is actually displayed.

  • A valid permit is required, issued in 6 month increments. Landlord permission required.
  • Must be placed a minimum of 12m from other mobile signs
  • The approval of mobile signs, including their size, design, location and duration of placement, shall be at the discretion of Council.
  • No third-party advertising
  • Prohibited in heritage areas
