Mobile Signs in Winnipeg

Mobile Sign” means a sign which is mounted on a trailer, stand, or other support structure which is designed in such a manner that the sign can be readily taken down or relocated, and which may include copy that can be changed through the use of removable characters, panels, or by electronic means.

  • Permit required to place sign
  • Minimum setback from any and all property lines
  • 10 ft. from any entrance/exit driveway
  • 65 ft. from any other mobile sign
  • Electrical connections to comply with the Winnipeg Electrical By-law
  • Not permitted on landscaped areas
  • No flashing or scintillating lights
  • Permit must be renewed prior to expiry date
  • Sign must be removed upon expiry date
  • Maximum of one sign per property
